Recycling Lead

Job Overview

• Partner with Maintenance/Recycle Manager on all challenges, decisions, adjustments or changes to be made to ensure that all aspects of the Bob’s business plan are considered and followed
• Thoroughly understand Bob’s Discount Furniture Company & Department Policies and procedures
• Ensure that department training plan encompasses quality, speed and accuracy
• Mentor, guide, coach and train other Recycling employees in recycling materials, safe cleaning and material handling practices
• Provide updates to Managers throughout the day on all day-to-day activities and progress of associates
• Sort materials, operate forklift, and clamp trucks
• Delegate tasks and follow up
• All other duties as assigned

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Saturdays as needed), 11:00am Start time

• Great starting hourly pay at $20.00 - $23.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
• Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)
• High School Diploma or equivalent Warehouse/mechanical experience
• Must be able to operate bailers and compressed recyclables
• Must be able to operate forklift and clamp truck
• Excellent communication and verbal skills
• Strong leadership & organizational skills
• Must be able to operate and adjust to change in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to organize and prioritize the workload daily
• Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob’s

Physical Demands

• Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.
• Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
• Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
• Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 90%
• Sitting: 5%
• Desk or phone work: 5%
