Senior Bridge Engineer

As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will support the engineering design of structures. You will provide top-of-the-industry engineering services that are verified through a rigorous QC process. You will create connections with team members. Your efforts will support in developing client relationships through utilizing cutting-edge technology, innovation, and designing infrastructure that will last. What are the core responsibilities for the role? Design, evaluate, and analyze highway bridges Prepare designs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and specifications Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs Perform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software and/or other bridge software Experience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are met Experience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes Strong people skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineering Structures lead for projects, coordinating staff and design efforts Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies: B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Masters a plus Registered PE, SE required 12+ years experience Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices, some travel required— Experience working in bridge design team Design Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plus Established relationships with local clients (WSDOT/ITD) a plus Solid understanding of transportation projects Why would a candidate want this job?
