Job Description
This contract-to-hire Assembler role offers the opportunity to work in a clean, modern manufacturing facility where you assemble products, prepare them for shipment, and support smooth production operations. You will work on first shift, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., using hand tools and following detailed work instructions to ensure quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and components according to written work instructions and production requirements.
• Use hand tools to assemble tables and other products safely and efficiently.
• Prepare finished products for shipment by placing assembled parts into boxes and securing them properly.
• Label boxes accurately to ensure correct identification and tracking of products.
• Lift and move materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds as part of daily tasks.
• Complete all required production paperwork clearly and accurately.
• File and manage shop orders to support production tracking and workflow.
• Operate basic manufacturing and machine equipment as needed, following all safety and quality standards.
• Work in both sitting and standing positions depending on the specific job assignment.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on the production floor.

Essential Skills

• Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools for assembly work.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds safely throughout the shift.
• Comfort working as a machine operator or in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work a first-shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Strong attention to detail for labeling, paperwork, and shop order filing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Steel toe boots required as part of standard safety attire.
• Experience working in a clean, organized manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Reliability and strong attendance record are highly valued.
• Comfort working in areas that may be cooler due to open bay doors.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a new, clean, and well-lit manufacturing facility designed for comfort and productivity. The production floor can feel cool at times due to large bay doors being open, so employees should be comfortable working in varying temperatures. The team is relatively small, fostering a close-knit atmosphere with approximately several dozen employees and strong long-term retention. Work is performed on first shift, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in a setting that combines seated and standing tasks depending on the job assignment, using hand tools and basic manufacturing equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
