About Us:
We are a very small-scale child care environment within our family owned company in Chanhassen, where every child is known, valued, and supported. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, home-like atmosphere that fosters, kindness, confidence and adventure!

Position Overview:
We are looking for a nurturing early education teacher who is patient, attentive, and passionate about working with children within our licensed on-site daycare that's not open to the public per say but for our staff's children and grandchildren only.  We have a unique culture here at Metro.  Many of us bring our dogs to work. (And Mike the cat).  The ideal candidate enjoys engaging with a small group of kids through play, learning activities, frequent field trips to the Zoo, Arboretum, Nature Centers, parks and daily routines while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, compassionate care to children of varying ages.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, rest time, and hygiene.
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe space.
• Follow all licensing and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children (child care, preschool, nannying, etc.) preferred.
• Genuine passion for child development and well-being.
• Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be willing to meet state licensing requirements (background study, CPR, childcare training etc.)
