Innovation and application expertise are the cornerstones of our identity and the fuel for our growth.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, document, and implement complex machine control systemsTroubleshoot and repair complex machine control systemsVerify safe reliable machine operation and initiate corrective actionEvaluate and source cost effective replacement partsCreate and edit programs for PLCs, HMIs, and Motion ControllersEstimate cost and completion date for assigned project(s)Layout and wire complex panels, controls, and machine control systemsAnalyze and recommend improvements to equipmentComplete assigned projects independentlyHandle confidential information on a regular basisProvide technical guidance to Electrical Engineer I and Electrical Technician IPerform other duties as directed by the Machine Engineering Supervisor and/or the Lead Electrical EngineerQualificationsHigh school diploma with a minimum of 15 years; or BSEE or BSEET degree with 10 years of experienceFamiliar with NEC, UL508A, and Industrial control application best practicesMust have all basic toolsIndustrial control and power system design and troubleshootingRead, create, and evaluate electrical schematicsGood advanced math skillsFamiliar with programming PLCs, HMIs, drives, and motion controlsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to work flexible hours and overtime as requiredAbility to use a computer and software as requiredProject management and technical leadershipCompetenciesAccountabilityAnalytical/Problem solving/Decision MakingCommunication SkillsComputer SkillsInterpersonal SkillsQualitySafetyTeam EffectivenessTime ManagementValue/trust/IntegritySkillsElectrical safe work practicesProficient with electrical measurement tools.Good communication and decision making abilities.Extensive analytical and problem solving abilities.Able to self-manage and self-motivate effectively.Possess adaptability and flexibility traits.Strong knowledge of all relevant industry practices and standards.Strong administrative computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office).Proficient with CAD, PLC and HMI programming tools.Effective internal and external relationship management abilities.Strong technical and interpersonal communication.Strong business ethics and values.Strong planning and organizational abilities.Aggressively maintains integrity and trustworthiness.Maintain a customer focus in all duties and directives.Other RequirementsWalk up to a ¼ mile at a time.Bend, squat and/or reach as needed.Ability to use hand and power tools.Must understand and speak English.Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.Hose Master is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
