Registered Nurse Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:

The MS Tele RN will provide specialized nursing care for adult patients requiring telemetry monitoring, utilizing advanced bedside and technological skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role involves working on a newly established unit with a focus on safe, efficient, and compassionate patient management.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Set up and operate bedside monitors, including telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry, ensuring accurate data collection.
  
  
• 
  Assess and interpret dysrhythmias, responding promptly to abnormal findings in accordance with hospital protocols.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient status, interventions, and responses thoroughly using Epic charting system.
  
  
• 
  Float within scope to various units as needed, supporting team coverage and patient care continuity.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active SC or Compact RN license prior to start date.
  
  
• 
  Have at least 2 years of recent Telemetry or MS experience, with demonstrated competency in dysrhythmia interpretation.
  
  
• 
  Possess BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Be able to work 3x12-day shifts with every other weekend commitment.
  
  
• 
  Be flexible to float within scope according to hospital needs.
  
  
• 
  First-time travelers accepted; prior hospital experience preferred.
