Funds Attorney

Overview Boston-based investment firm is currently expanding its legal team and is seeking a talented attorney to join its growing platform. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate at a top‑tier law firm looking to transition in‑house and gain broad exposure within a sophisticated and fast‑paced investment environment. The Role Offers Direct exposure to and mentorship from the General Counsel Involvement in market‑leading investment transactions The opportunity to work alongside a highly regarded legal team A dynamic, entrepreneurial environment Clear long‑term career progression Flexible / hybrid working arrangements Support the formation, structuring, launch, and ongoing operation of private investment funds and related investment vehicles Assist with fund governance, regulatory, and compliance matters affecting private investment funds Provide legal support for fund investments, co‑investments, secondary transactions, and other strategic initiatives Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission to at least one U.S. state bar 3–6 years of experience at a leading law firm or investment management organization Strong experience advising on private investment fund formation and related fund matters Familiarity with private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds, credit funds, or other alternative investment structures Experience reviewing and negotiating fund documentation and investor agreements Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is a high‑performing mid‑level attorney who has developed a strong foundation in private funds work and is ready to take on a broader, business‑oriented role.
