What We Offer The ASC Surgical Technologist is expected to work in an operating suite for the center. The ASC Surgical Technologist is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross‑training to other primary areas, assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day‑to‑day ASC operations. Location: Greenville, South Carolina Hours / Shift: Monday – Friday from 7 AM until 3:30 PM. No holidays, no on‑call and no weekends. Full time. What You’ll Do The Certified Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Certified surgical technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Variety of surgical procedures and endoscopy High volume Standard of care of patients while following OSHA guidelines What We’re Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D – Operating Room Specialist). For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification please see additional skills required. Online Surgical Tech program credits will not be accepted. Experience: Previous Surgical Technologist experience, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current Surgical Tech certification, required – based on state specific regulations (South Carolina Region Only). Additional Skills (required): For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification, the following additional requirements apply: new graduates must obtain certification within 12 months of hire; ability to successfully complete generic and department‑specific skill validation and competency testing; demonstrate effective and appropriate customer service skills, verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, and time management skills. Additional Skills (preferred): One to two years of experience in sterile processing or equivalent training if assigned solely to sterile processing. Why Choose Novant Health?
