In this role, you'll provide direct patient care support and perform a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the highest quality of care and patient satisfaction. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting, value continuous learning, and enjoy working with a diverse population, we'd love to hear from you.Full-time positionSupportive team environmentOpportunities for professional growthMake a lasting impact every dayCompensation and Benefits Offered:Starting pay $18.00 an hour - goes up based on experiencePaid Time Off (PTO) – Accrued per payInsurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life)Paid Holidays – 7 paid holidays403b Retirement with up to 8% match (starts at 3% and increases with time of service at HPWO)Annual Reviews and IncreasesMileage Reimbursement – Work related travelEmployee Assistance ProgramReferral Bonus – Earn more by expanding our teamTraining OpportunitiesEligible to apply for the Emerging Leaders Program after 1 year of serviceQualifications:HS Diploma or GED requiredSkills/Abilities:Speak English and SpanishAbility to travel to different locations as neededAt least 1 year of directly related experience preferredCPR – BLS (basic life support)Ability to work as a team memberComputer experience is desirableAbility to work with a culturally diverse group of peopleMust be willing to work flexible hours as required by positionEssential Functions and Basic Duties:Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks; assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts, and assists with medical examinations.Performs routine specialized procedures, such as HIV screenings, fluoride varnish application and sterile dressing changes under established protocols.Completes patient health screenings including hearing, vision, and all CLIA waived testing.Administers injections after appropriate training.Administers immunizations and medications that are not controlled substances.Maintains stock of medical supplies as necessary.Educates and advises patients on specified medical issues within established parameters.Schedules and monitors patient appointments; may coordinate routine office activities and administrative functions in support of unit activities.Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.May recruit patients for studies and may participate in outreach clinical activities as required.Performs patient education and discharge instructions.Completes referrals and schedules tests for patients.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Work Environment:Work is primarily sedentary, demanding sitting, walking, lifting, and bending. Those physical movements and the degree of mobility, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination commonly associated with duties in an office setting will be performed repetitively. This also includes bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing, and walking. The ability to distinguish letters and symbols and utilize telephones, computer terminals, fax machines, and copiers is required.
