This full-time, onsite position is perfect for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to thrive in a collaborative educational setting near Gretna, LA. Your expertise will help elementary learners build essential communication skills, foster confidence, and achieve their academic goals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLP
  • Prior experience working within school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and educational documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy for students in grades 2-4
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student progress
  • Assess, diagnose, and document student speech and language needs
  • Develop individual education plans (IEPs) and maintain accurate records
  • Offer strategies and resources to educators and families to enhance communication skills in classroom environments
  • Participate in staff meetings, IEP discussions, and ongoing professional development
