Founders Associate

Manage the CEO's day-to-day operations Build advance meeting briefs from board materials, agency context, and internal threads Travel to Washington, DC with the CEO for multi-day engagements Attend meetings, take notes, and own resulting action items Research, prepare talking points, and handle logistics for speaking engagements, panels, and external events Manage the CEO's inbox and calendar, including triage, drafting responses, prioritization, and removing unnecessary items Own follow-through on investor, partner, and federal stakeholder interactions Track open threads, draft follow-ups, and close loops Support recruiting by preparing the CEO for interviews, running debrief readouts, and coordinating priority hires Execute one-off deliverables such as competitive briefs, partner decks, and research Requirements 2–4 years in consulting, banking, an early-stage startup, or a role directly supporting a founder or senior executive Track record of taking ownership and executing with incomplete information Tight written communication for briefs, follow-ups, and summaries under time pressure Fluency with AI tools, applied to speed and not as a substitute for judgment Willingness to travel frequently, including multi-day Washington, DC trips and last-minute travel Comfort with daily ambiguity and shifting priorities Candidates must be comfortable splitting time between New York City and Washington, DC Preferred: experience with federal agencies, defense stakeholders, or public sector partners Preferred: high-growth startup experience in a generalist or operational capacity Must be willing to work in the NYC HQ or DC three days per week Core Competencies Demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills while managing executive operations, including calendar management, meeting preparation, and stakeholder engagement.
