Physician - Gastroenterology Inpatient Hospitalist - minimal afterhours, ERCP required

Position Summary
Benefis Health System is seeking a Gastroenterology Inpatient Hospitalist to join an established GI hospitalist practice in Great Falls, Montana. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and supports both inpatient and outpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform ERCP, Barryx, Spyglass, colonoscopies, EGDs, flexible sigmoidoscopies, PEG tube placements, and EUS.
- Average of 6 cases per day, ranging from 2 to 9, with 6–7 ERCP cases per stretch.
- Work dedicated shifts Monday‑Friday 7:00am–3:00pm; round on Saturdays; perform procedures Sunday 7:00am–12:00pm with endoscopy staff.
- Collaborate with a PA‑C, anesthesia, RN, and tech teams within a dedicated GI hospitalist block.
- Participate in monthly leadership meetings to discuss quality and new initiatives.
- Accept 24‑hour call coverage, though overnight or late‑night assistance is rarely required.
- Optional outpatient laboratory time available during off stretches; not required.
Qualifications
- Board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology.
- Required experience with ERCP and advanced endoscopic procedures.
- Ability to work full‑time or part‑time shifts (146 shifts annually for full‑time, 73 for part‑time).
- Familiarity with a large endoscopy suite and ambulatory surgical center environment preferred.
