Board Certified Behavior Analyst-BCBA

Job Description
Job Description:\n\nKEY ESSENTIALS TO BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT CORP\nBoard Certified Behavior Analyst\nClinical & Methodology Leadership\nRole\nBoard Certified Behavior Analyst — Clinical & Methodology Leadership\nCompensation (Full-time)\n$85,000 – $105,000/year (Exempt, Salaried)\nCompensation (Part-time)\n$45 – $55/hr\nEmployment Type\nFull-time and Part-time positions available\nReports To\nClinical Director (Jazmin) with Chief Clinical Director (Maritza) oversight\nLocation\nAll KEBM locations — Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, San Dimas, Indio + The Sensory Spot (CA); McDonough (GA)\nService Setting\nClinic, home, community, school, and adult residential consultation\nCredential\nActive BCBA Certification with BACB in good standing · Master's degree required · 2+ years post-certification experience · CA BCBAs must hold active licensure where required; GA BCBAs must hold active LBA license\nWhy This Role Exists\nTraditional BCBA roles burn you out with bloated caseloads, endless paperwork, and no clinical autonomy — you become a documentation machine instead of a clinician. KEBM built the BCBA Full-Time role around the opposite premise: reasonable caseloads, clinical authority over treatment decisions, mentorship of the supervisors and BCaBAs who report to you, and real operational support so you can do clinical work. You're a clinician, not a paper-pusher. If you've already lived the burnout version of this job, this one is structured so that won't happen here.\nAbout Us\nWe're a five-clinic ABA therapy company with four locations across Southern California and one in Georgia, founded in 2016 by a BCBA with 25+ years in the field. Our team of 68+ professionals delivers evidence-based therapy through our proprietary S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. methodology — and our Sensory Spot locations prove that therapy can actually feel like play.\nWe serve every client who walks through our doors — insurance-funded, private pay, open play, and camp families alike. We're women-founded, minority-owned, and we don't sacrifice clinical quality for profit. If you want to work somewhere that's serious about outcomes and serious about its people, you're in the right place.\nHow S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. Work\nS.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. is our proprietary group ABA therapy methodology — a pod-based model where social skills, behavior intervention, and individualized goals are delivered inside a structured group dynamic. Here's how it works on the ground:\n\nEach pod has 3 to 6 clients with varied diagnoses — autism, ADHD, ADD, Down syndrome, developmental delays — grouped by age, skill level, and goal alignment.\nThe facilitator-to-client ratio is 1:3 inside the pod.\nA supervisor is always on-site, and clinical support is always available in your pod. Your on-site supervisor is a Program Supervisor, BCaBA, or BCBA, and they move between pods providing real-time coaching, oversight, and support for challenging behaviors. You are never figuring it out alone.\nWe use a push-in / pull-out model: group work happens inside the pod, and 1:1 intensive instruction pulls out when a client needs dedicated skill-building or behavior support.\nBCBAs and Program Supervisors move between pods providing real-time coaching, clinical oversight, and support for challenging behaviors.\n\nWho We Serve\nKEBM serves every client who walks through our doors — no tiers, no priority treatment, no "real clients vs. drop-ins." That means:\n\nInsurance-funded ABA clients (Medi-Cal, Medicare, commercial insurance)\nPrivate pay therapy clients\nOpen play participants at our Sensory Spot locations\nCamp participants — spring break, winter break, summer, and any seasonal KEBM camp\nConsultation clients in adult residential and group home settings (Program Supervisor Master's level and above)\n\nA camp kid gets the same quality of care as an insurance client. An open play family gets the same respect as a full-time ABA family. If that feels natural to you, you're going to fit here. If the idea of treating any of those clients as less-than bothers you, this isn't the place.\n\nThe Role — What You'll Actually Do\nIn this role, you'll:\n\nOwn your clinical caseload with full authority — FBAs, treatment plans, intervention design, progress evaluation, program modification. You're the clinician of record.\nSupervise and mentor BCaBAs, Program Supervisors, and Program Supervisor Trainees — BACB-compliant supervision for certification-track candidates, with genuine mentorship baked in.\nContribute to KEBM's S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. methodology evolution — curriculum development, intervention refinement, clinical protocol updates. Your clinical voice is weighted at the program level, not just the caseload level.\nDeliver direct clinical services on complex cases — crisis stabilization, high-fidelity modeling, specialized interventions. You're not too senior to be in session; you're senior enough to know when it matters.\nPartner with families, schools, and external stakeholders — parent training, IEP meetings, interdisciplinary care coordination. The clinical face of KEBM to your families.\nParticipate in clinical strategy and quality improvement — program evaluation, outcome measurement, clinical audits. You're shaping how KEBM delivers care, not just delivering it.\n\nIn your first 90 days, success looks like:\nFull caseload assigned and operating, supervisory relationships established with your assigned BCaBAs and Program Supervisors, integration with the CD's clinical rhythm, and first contribution to methodology or program-level refinement delivered.\nWho You Are\nYou might be perfect for this if:\n\nYou hold your BCBA and you've had enough of the bloated-caseload, paperwork-burnout model — and you want to work somewhere that actually structures the BCBA role around clinical quality.\nYou want clinical authority and mentorship of your supervisors — you're not looking to be a solo practitioner, but you're also not looking to be micromanaged. The balance at KEBM is real clinical autonomy with real clinical peer support.\nYou want a clinical company, not a billing operation — that happens to employ clinicians. KEBM's structure reflects the priority of client outcomes over billable hours.\nYou're building toward BCBA Lead or Assistant Clinical Director — and the path at KEBM is documented, not implied.\n\nBonus points if you have:\n\n5+ years post-BCBA clinical experience\nPrior supervisory or clinical leadership experience\nSpecialized populations (early intervention, feeding, toileting, adolescent/adult)\nBilingual (Spanish)\nLBA license in Georgia (for GA-based roles)\n\nWhat You Get\nCompensation\nFull-time: $85,000 – $105,000/year (Exempt, Salaried)\nPart-time: $45 – $55/hr\nWe don't play the "competitive compensation" game, and we don't bait candidates with the top of the band and pay the bottom. Where you land in the range depends on credential level, experience, and market — and we'll tell you exactly why during the offer conversation.\nBenefits — Full-Time (Executive & Clinical Leadership)\nFull medical, dental, and vision coverage • Generous PTO • Paid holidays • 401(k) with employer contribution • Executive-level CEU budget • Conference attendance budget • Professional liability coverage • Clinical autonomy within the S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. framework • Annual professional development allocation\nBenefits — Part-Time\nPaid sick time (per state law) • CEU reimbursement for BCBA certification maintenance • Professional liability coverage • Ongoing S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. methodology training • Priority access to full-time roles as they open • Flexible scheduling within the role's clinical requirements\nGrowth\nAt KEBM, your next role isn't hypothetical. We built a 15-step clinical pipeline from Social Skills Assistant through Chief Clinical Director, and every seat has a real compensation band, a real scope of responsibility, and a real path to get there.\nYour direct next step from this role: BCBA Lead (3+ years post-certification leadership required) or Clinic Manager (for BCBAs interested in hybrid ops role). Both paths active for BCBAs who demonstrate leadership readiness.\nAsk about it in the interview — we'll show you the map.\nCulture\nWe run on the S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. framework, which means structured collaboration — not chaos. Our leadership team (COO Lynda, Chief Clinical Director Maritza, Clinical Director Jazmin) actually leads, so you're not reporting into a black hole. Our CEO is a BCBA who built this from the ground up starting at $8.50/hour as a paraeducator in 1999 — she gets what your day looks like.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nThis role is physically active. You'll spend most of your day standing, walking, sitting on the floor, transitioning between activities, and occasionally responding to challenging behaviors.\n\nFrequent (4–8 hours): sitting, standing, walking, simple grasping, reaching (all directions), bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting\nOccasional (1–3 hours): keyboarding, fine manipulation, stairs, lifting or carrying 1–50 lbs\nCrisis readiness: the ability to respond appropriately to behaviors including elopement, aggression (hitting, kicking, spitting, throwing), and self-injury — with full training and supervisory backup\n\nThis is not desk work. But you are never handling it alone — a supervisor is always on-site and clinical support is always available.\nWhat You'll Actually Encounter — The Honest Section\nMost ABA job posts sanitize this part and then lose hires at day 30 when reality hits. We'd rather tell you now.\n\nAggression — hitting, kicking, biting, scratching, throwing objects. Training and crisis protocols are in place; you'll never be expected to manage it alone.\nElopement — clients running or leaving the session space. The clinic is designed to be safe; staffing is set to make elopement manageable.\nSelf-injury — head-hitting, scratching, and similar behaviors. Protocols exist for every scenario.\nNon-compliance and task refusal — some sessions will test your creativity and persistence.\nVocal stereotypy and scripting — understanding function is part of the clinical picture.\nSensory-seeking and sensory-avoidant behaviors — our Sensory Spot locations are designed with this in mind.\n\nWhy we tell you this upfront:\nBecause we respect your decision-making. This work isn't for everyone — and that's okay. But for the right person, there's nothing more rewarding than helping a child build the skills that change the trajectory of their life. And you won't be doing it alone — a supervisor is always on-site, clinical support is always available, established crisis protocols are in place, and a team has your back.\n\nThe KEBM G-W-C Test\nThree questions. Take 60 seconds with them before you apply. If you can answer all three with an honest "yes," send your resume today. If any one is a no, that's information too — we'd rather you filter yourself now than find out three months in.\n1. Do you GET IT?\nDo you understand what this role actually is — the real work, the hard days, the kids and families we serve? Not the idealized version. The actual job.\n2. Do you WANT IT?\nNot the paycheck. Not the title. The work itself. Do you want to do this specific job, with these specific clients, inside the S.O.C.I.A.L. P.O.D.S. model?\n3. Do you have the CAPACITY?\nTime, skill, emotional bandwidth, physical readiness. The capacity question is not whether you're smart or capable — it's whether your current life has room for this role to be done well.\nHow to Apply\nApply at the link in this posting, or send your resume and a short note about why this role caught your eye to View email address on us.fitly.work. Questions before you apply? Call us at View phone number on us.fitly.work — a real person will answer.\nWe review every application and respond to every candidate. You're not shouting into the void.\nScreening questions\nPlease answer both in your application:\n\nTell me about a clinical program you built, modified, or turned around. What were the outcome measures, and what did the data show?\nDescribe how you supervise a BCaBA who's clinically strong but struggling with the supervisor role. Where do you invest the supervision time?\n\nKey Essentials to Behavior Management Corp is an equal opportunity employer. We are women-founded, minority-owned, and committed to hiring without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
