Responsible for investigating and analyzing inventory discrepancies to determine appropriate correction method, root cause, and corrective actions, as well as maintaining related databases for management reporting. Emphasis will be placed on implementation of permanent corrective actions and the sustainability of actions, in addition to identification of processes to prevent new occurrences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily review and analysis of negative inventory, cycle count discrepancies, and ICXA submissions. Analysis will include appropriate correction methods, root cause, and identification of corrective action to prevent recurrences.
• Maintain databases of above inventory issues and related analyses for management reporting.
• Ensure appropriate correction method for identified inventory discrepancies are completed.
• Coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure implementation of permanent correction action and conduct follow-up audits to ensure compliance.
• Distribute Inventory Record Accuracy results summary for prior day
• Support accounting cycle counters in requested inventory resets due to IRA improvements, work cell redesigns, and major ECN implementations.
• Conduct weekly audits of work cells to assure sustainability of inventory and location accuracy processes.
• Assist PFEP coordinator and receiving supervisor with audits of Hibay, central, and Kanban supermarkets – concentrating on location accuracy and process adherence related to location of parts, use of overflow locations, and correct rack markings.
• One-on-one training with associates as the need arises for issues related to IRA (e.g. scraping of material, use of scheduling boards, storing issues, etc.).
• Conduct real-time Bill of Material Audits (as operator is building).
• Conduct targeted bin audits to identify hidden BOM issues.
• Conduct “Repeat Offender” part audits.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s degree from a college or university; or three years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Lean Manufacturing experience would be a plus.
• Ability to use MS Excel and Access software efficiently and experience with company inventory control system software.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
