Job Overview
We are seeking a temp to perm detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and optimizing supply chain processes. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management, data analysis, and procurement practices to support our operational goals effectively.
Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess stock.
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy in stock counts.
Collaborate with supply chain management to streamline warehouse distribution processes.
Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory movements and reporting discrepancies.
Analyze data for root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Assist in purchasing decisions by evaluating supplier performance and negotiating contracts.
Support demand planning efforts through effective data collection and analysis.
Manage e-commerce inventory to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipping & receiving processes.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in materials handling and inventory control.
Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau for reporting inventory metrics.
Skills
Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
Experience with warehouse distribution, logistics, and procurement processes.
Proficiency in data analysis skills, including SQL and financial modeling techniques.
Excellent negotiation skills for supplier management and contract negotiations.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in warehouse settings.
Knowledge of merchandising, category management, and demand planning strategies.
Experience with data mining, analytics, and supply chain analytics tools.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Previous experience in Inventory Control.
