Role Description The Electrician role at GoGreen Solutions Inc is a full-time, on-site position located in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for commercial and residential solar projects, including wiring, panels, and related infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical drawings, performing system testing and troubleshooting, and ensuring all work complies with electrical codes and safety standards. The Electrician will collaborate with project managers and installation teams to support new installations, upgrades, decommissioning, and repowering efforts while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed. This role requires consistent adherence to safety protocols and proactive identification of potential electrical issues to ensure reliable system performance. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering principles relevant to solar and general electrical systems. Candidates should possess practical electrical work skills, including installation, wiring, and panel setup for commercial and residential projects. Candidates should possess maintenance and repair abilities for electrical components and systems, ensuring reliable ongoing operation. Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical faults, performance issues, and safety concerns. Valid Journeyperson or Master Electrician license (or equivalent) in applicable Mid-Atlantic jurisdictions is preferred. Experience working on solar PV systems or renewable energy projects is beneficial. Familiarity with NEC, local electrical codes, and industry safety standards, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures. Ability to work safely at heights and outdoors, lift equipment as required, and use hand and power tools effectively. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional field and project teams.
