Sales Representative – Marc Hughes State Farm, Metuchen, NJ Join the Marc Hughes State Farm agency as a Sales Representative and build a real career in insurance. This role is ideal for outgoing, competitive people – from new college grads to experienced sales professionals – who enjoy talking to others and thrive in a goal-driven environment. Role Overview Help individuals, families, and small businesses with auto, home, renters, life, and other insurance needs. Handle inbound leads and make proactive outbound contacts to understand needs, present options, and close sales. Work in a high‑energy office where your effort, attitude, and results drive your income and growth. What You'll Do Contact prospects and customers by phone, text, email, and in person. Listen, recommend tailored coverage, present quotes, and ask for the sale. Build lasting relationships through follow‑up, policy reviews, and great service. What We're Looking For Outgoing, confident, and comfortable starting conversations. Strong sales personality: competitive, persuasive, and goal‑oriented. Clear, professional communicator; strong phone and in‑person presence. New grads: motivated to learn the insurance business and grow a long‑term career. Experienced reps: proven sales success and desire to increase earnings. Licensing Insurance licenses (Property & Casualty, Life & Health) are a plus. If unlicensed, must be willing and able to obtain required licenses (support provided). Compensation & Growth Base pay plus commission, with strong performance‑based earning potential. Bonus opportunities and ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship. Long‑term growth potential within the agency and broader State Farm opportunities.
