About Us

We are a fast-growing, patient-centered pediatric dental practice committed to providing exceptional care in a fun, welcoming environment for children and their families. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Bilingual Dental Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience while ensuring the front office operates efficiently.

Schedule

• Tuesday – Thursday: 7:50 AM – 5:15 PM
• Friday: 7:50 AM – 4:00 PM
• After 4 months: Optional administrative day on Monday: 7:50 AM – 2:00 PM
• One Saturday per quarter, as needed (primarily to make up for weather-related closures)

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and families with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions.
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage patient appointments to help maintain a productive schedule.
• Assist patients with registration forms and ensure all patient information is complete and accurate.
• Prepare patient charts and daily schedules for the clinical team.
• Update and maintain accurate electronic patient records.
• Verify Medicaid and PPO insurance eligibility.
• Complete PPO insurance benefit breakdowns and communicate estimated patient financial responsibility.
• Contact patients when insurance information cannot be verified or additional information is needed.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and provide appointment reminders.
• Collect co-pays, payments, and balances while following office financial policies.
• Coordinate referrals to dental specialists when necessary.
• Perform general front office duties, including answering phones, filing, scanning, photocopying, and faxing.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception and waiting area.
• Support a positive, welcoming atmosphere for every patient and family.

Qualifications

Required

• Fluent in English and Spanish
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of basic dental terminology
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent telephone etiquette and computer skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• Reliable, flexible, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

• One year of dental office or dental front desk experience
• Experience with Open Dental practice management software
• Knowledge of dental insurance verification, Medicaid eligibility, and PPO benefit breakdowns
• Certification in office administration, medical administration, or a related field
