This position supports daily life within the Household by preparing meals, maintaining kitchen and dining areas, fostering meaningful engagement, and contributing to the overall well-being and dignity of residents.What You’ll DoAssist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of resident mealsHonor resident choice by supporting individual food preferences and dietary needsFollow encouraged mealtimes: Lunch 11:30am–1:30pm and Dinner 4:30pm–6:30pmComplete required documentation including food temperatures, dishwasher temps, and refrigeration logsClean and sanitize the kitchen and dining areas after meals and between mealtimes, including sweeping and mopping as assignedStore, rotate, and manage weekly food stock orders using the Cater-Trax systemMaintain compliance with all federal, state, and local food safety guidelinesPerform daily cleaning tasks according to the Household Cleaning ChecklistTake trash and recycling out to the dumpster before the end of shift or each mealtimeEncourage resident participation in food-related activities and provide 1:1 support when neededAssist with household holiday meals, gatherings, and eventsFollow all safety, sanitation, infection control, and Residents’ Rights policiesMaintain resident confidentiality and treat all residents, families, and staff with dignity and respectAttend required trainings and demonstrate consistent dependability and punctualityPerform other household duties as assignedWhat We’re Looking ForMust be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalentAbility to read menus, diet cards, recipes, and follow measurements and instructionsAbility to understand dietary restrictions such as regular, mechanical soft, and puréed dietsServSafe certification or willingness to obtainCurrent CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain after hire)Efficient, organized, and able to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanlinessKind, respectful, and supportive approach when interacting with residentsResponsible for own work schedule and obtaining coverage when unable to workEvery other weekend and holiday shifts are requiredAdditional InformationThis position is part-time 6:30am-11:00am with every other weekend!Why You’ll Love Working at Garden Spot At Garden Spot Village, you’ll be part of a purpose-driven team committed to compassion, respect, and integrity.
