Location: Petoskey, MI

Start Date: 03/01/2026

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM; 24-hour weekend call (no weekday night call)

Hours/Week: Varies based on schedule

Duration: Multiple open dates through early March 2026

Employment Type: Locum / Temporary

License/Certs: Medical license in Michigan, ERCP certification REQUIRED

Experience: Prior GI experience preferred

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Rate: Based on "Per hour worked 7a-5p" (rate to be submitted)

Orientation Rate: Half the hourly rate for training and orientation

Weekend Call: 4 hours paid at their rate, with 24-hour call coverage

Holiday Pay: Time-and-a-half rate for holidays

Additional: Onsite lab, X-Ray, and support staff including 2 physicians and 2 APPs, all services onsite at hospital

What You'll Do

Provide outpatient and inpatient GI consults and procedures within a hospital setting

Perform endoscopies, including ERCP (REQUIRED)

Support a team of physicians, APPs, and nurses in delivering high-quality patient care

Manage outpatient scopes (approximately 18/day) and inpatient scopes (about 20/day)

Collaborate with support staff and utilize Cerner EMR software

Cover weekend call duties, ensuring continuity of care during off-hours

Participate in clinic coverage during scheduled hours, including consultations and procedures

What You Need

Required:

Medical license in Michigan

ERCP certification (REQUIRED)

Prior experience in gastroenterology procedures and patient management

Preferred:

Experience with inpatient and outpatient GI care

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
