About the Position

MercyOne Des Moines is seeking a Gastroenterologist for an inpatient-focused locum-to-permanent opportunity. The facility is looking for a physician who is genuinely interested in transitioning into a permanent position after the locum assignment.

Schedule

  • Start: As soon as credentialed
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • 24-hour call coverage
  • Call runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Assignment Details

  • Hospital-based inpatient coverage
  • Adult patient population
  • Inpatient procedures and consultations
  • Approximately three to four outpatient procedures per day
  • Cerner EMR

️ Required Skills

  • ERCP is required
  • EUS is highly preferred
  • Physicians who perform ERCP but not EUS will still be considered
