Agile Coach

Location: New York City, NY (Day 1 Onsite) Experience : 10+ Years Eligibility: US Citizens only (Client Requirement) Interview: Onsite Interview Required Start: Immediate Joiners Preferred We are currently looking to hire six (6) highly experienced Enterprise Agile Coaches to support a major Agile Product Transformation initiative within a large public-sector IT organization. These roles will be part of the Agile Center of Excellence (CoE) and will work closely with leadership including the Deputy CTO and CoE Director to drive enterprise-wide Agile maturity. Key Responsibilities Agile Transformation Coaching Provide hands-on coaching for large-scale Agile product transformation initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Partner with the Agile CoE leadership to develop and implement a structured Agile transformation roadmap. Coach Product Teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe . Guide teams toward product-centric delivery models that enhance business value and operational efficiency. Act as a trusted advisor to teams and leadership to reinforce Agile principles and practices. Training & Facilitation Design and deliver workshops, training programs, and hands-on sessions focused on Agile practices and tools. Educate teams on engineering excellence practices including DevOps, CI/CD, TDD, XP practices, and Lean principles . Encourage a culture of continuous learning through effective retrospectives and data-driven decision making. Analyze Agile performance metrics and implement improvement strategies for delivery efficiency. Stakeholder Collaboration Work with cross-functional teams to identify barriers in Agile adoption and provide targeted coaching. Facilitate collaboration and alignment across teams to ensure smooth transformation progress. Agile Tools & Best Practices Standardize Agile ceremonies, workflows, and delivery practices across teams. Leverage Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian Align to streamline Agile processes and reporting. Define and monitor Agile metrics such as team health, velocity, and transformation progress. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Experience 12+ years of software development experience. Minimum 8 years of Agile coaching experience in enterprise environments. Proven experience leading Agile transformations in large and complex organizations. Certifications ICP-ACC / ICP-ATF Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or equivalent Agile certifications. Technical Expertise Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and LeSS . Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and engineering excellence . Ability to navigate complex organizational structures using strong systems thinking. Preferred Experience Experience transitioning organizations from traditional delivery models to Agile. Familiarity with Lean Portfolio Management and product-centric delivery models. Expertise in Agile metrics and metrics-driven coaching. Strong background in organizational change management. Passion for mentoring teams on engineering practices such as TDD and paired programming .
