The role requires handling cases from inception to settlement or trial, drafting pleadings, answering and propounding discovery, analyzing and organizing discovery and mandatory disclosure documents, communicating with clients and experts, scheduling hearings, e‑filing documents, and preparing attorneys for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and DPA is required. Seeking a highly motivated, positive, and professional individual with strong communication skills, capable of working independently. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 to 5:00. Responsibilities Communicate with clients and witnesses Communicate with Court personnel and judicial assistants Prepare case-specific documents, including pleadings and discovery Review discovery requests and responses, organize and inventory discovery documents Draft pleadings, good-fate letters, and correspondence to clients, counsel, and the Court Organize and file pleadings, filings, and correspondence Ensure that case-related documents are well organized and available for review Answer phones and speak with potential and current clients, opposing law firms, and Court personnel Maintain and update documentation Provide general administrative support Qualifications Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role is preferred Certification or diploma as a Legal Assistant is preferred Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system Strong verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with document management experience Excellent research skills Comfortable with Microsoft Office and case management software Ability to multitask and work well under pressure #J-18808-Ljbffr Staack & Simms PLLC
