Agricultural Construction LaborerThe Agricultural Construction Laborer supports the construction, installation, and maintenance of grain bins, grain elevators, material handling systems, and other agricultural structures. This position performs a variety of physical construction tasks, assists skilled tradespeople, and helps ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to quality standards.Assist with the construction and erection of grain bins, grain legs, elevators, catwalks, and support structures.Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.Assist with assembling steel structures and grain handling equipment.Perform basic concrete, excavation, site preparation, and cleanup activities.Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.Assist with welding, fabrication, and equipment installation projects.Work from ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and elevated work platforms.Support rigging and material lifting operations.Maintain a clean and safe job site.Travel to customer and project locations as required.Complete additional duties assigned by supervisors and project leaders.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Construction, agricultural, or mechanical experience preferred but not required.Ability to use hand and power tools.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in agricultural construction, grain bin construction, or steel erection.Forklift, telehandler, or skid steer operating experience.Welding or fabrication experience.OSHA 10 certification.Why Work Here?Join a hardworking team that builds essential agricultural infrastructure, offers opportunities for growth and development, and takes pride in supporting farmers and rural communities through quality construction projects.Work EnvironmentOutdoor construction sites and agricultural facilities.Regular exposure to dust, noise, changing weather conditions, and construction equipment.Overtime and weekend work may be necessary during peak construction seasons.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Heyworth, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
