Duties: The Lead Phlebotomist provides day-to-day direction to the Phlebotomy team in achieving optimum workflow while providing an exceptional experience. This individual supports the Supervisor by performing a combination of activities while ensuring all procedures and policies are adhered to. Performs phlebotomy duties in compliance with applicable legal requirements and established laboratory policies. Demonstrates H3W behaviors with a focus on exceptional patient experience and quality outcomes.

Qualifications: Significant processing experience required. Sunquest or Beaker experience required. Prior leadership experience required. High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of phlebotomy program. Two years phlebotomy experience. National certification (NCCT or ASCP) or equivalent. Knowledge of venipuncture techniques. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude. Good keyboarding skills with ability to learn various laboratory application and HHC computer systems. Continuous improvement mindset. Ability to handle different patient population including difficult patients. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Ability to operate required lab equipment including pneumatic tube.

Regular standard hours per week: 40. Schedule: Full-time (40 hours). Shift details: hours 4pm--12:30am may include some weekend and holiday rotations.
