Job Duties:

• Performs point-to-point testing for distribution field devices (e.g., 3 closures, cap racks, sectionalizing cabinets), and distribution substation equipment in Texas. Includes logistical prep, scheduling with crews, and working in a SIP-controlled environment.

• Includes logistical setup for device testing, collaboration with internal teams, executing point-to-point testing, tracking and reporting results using Excel or PowerApps.

• Supports Texas but also remote support for Colorado and NSP services. Interacts with engineering, line crews, troublemen, control center operators, and substation personnel.

• Primarily a desk job in a secure environment. Occasional field visits for perspective, but not high-risk.

• Exposure to SCADA, ADMS, outage management systems, collaboration with major engineering and PM teams.

• Possibility to contribute to key projects like flisser and volt/VAR optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience with electric distribution systems

• Familiarity with Excel and PowerApps

• Ability to coordinate and report on testing progress

• Team collaboration

• Communication and logistical coordination

• Team player

• Adaptable to shifting priorities

• Strong communication and reporting skills

• 2-5 years, ideally from utility or telecom sectors with testing experience

• SCADA experience

• Communications troubleshooting knowledge
