Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Room, travel assignment in Rome, NY. ER unit in a hospital setting. Start date 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range of $1,063–$1,119 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM). The ER unit features 14 beds plus 4 minor treatment bays, serving roughly 31,000 visits annually, with a typical nurse-patient ratio around 4:1. Charting is performed in the T System. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,063–$1,119 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) Start date: 09/21/2026 Setting: ER in a hospital; high-volume emergency department Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric ER patients, including triage, initial assessments, monitoring, medication administration, and treatment planning Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients and coordinate disposition Document accurately in the designated EHR (T System); maintain timely charting of assessments, orders, and care plans Monitor for stroke and other acute conditions; adhere to protocol-driven care and safety standards in a high-volume environment Assist with patient transport, line care, IV therapies, and patient education; maintain infection control and safety practices Adapt to unit demands in a 14-bed ER with 4 minor treatment bays while maintaining a 4:1 nurse-patient ratio Requirements Current RN license in New York (state of assignment) BLS certification maintained Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience NIH Stroke Certification required; 8 hours of CEU credits Flu vaccine or declination accepted; mask required if declining; NYS SAFE CERT preferred but not required Experience with charting in the T System preferred Benefits and Support Dedicated assignment support from a recruiter throughout the contract Credentialing and onboarding assistance to facilitate a timely start 24/7 access to travel nursing support during the assignment Guidance through the hiring process and weekly pay details Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
