Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support warehouse pharmacy operations at a contract assignment lasting six months in Des Plaines, IL. This role requires overseeing medication inventory and distribution within a regulated environment, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty drugs.
• Maintain inventory levels by ordering medications and supplies while minimizing waste and expired products.
• Ensure storage conditions comply with USP standards and federal/state regulations.
• Verify medication orders prior to preparation and shipment.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians involved in inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to maintain availability of medications and supplies.
• Review controlled substance inventory and maintain accurate documentation.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and conduct quality assurance audits.
• Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to ensure timely medication deliveries.
• Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems to track medications and supplies.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Illinois Pharmacist License.
• Some experience with IV medication handling preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy inventory management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians effectively.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software and inventory systems.
