Job Description Pharmacist – Rare Disease Specialty Pharmacy

In this role, you’ll not only dispense life-changing medications but will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.

What You'll Do:

Deliver personalized pharmaceutical services, providing expert advice on drug therapy, toxicity, and side effects to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Oversee prescription data entry, verification, and order accuracy with a meticulous approach.

Coordinate and guide pharmacy technicians in medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing, overseeing their work and ensuring accuracy.

Uphold federal, state, and local regulatory standards for safe medication practices.

Conduct medication reviews, assess patient compliance, and educate patients and families on their unique therapy plans.

What You Bring:

• Pharm.D. from an accredited School of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current Illinois licensure; multi-state licensure a plus.
• 2+ years of experience as a licensed pharmacist, ideally in home infusion or specialty pharmacy.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• A passion for advancing the field of specialty pharmacy and making a tangible difference in patient lives.
