Nurse Practitioner - Behavioral Health

Join TeamHealth as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in the Martinsville, Virginia area. All facilities are within a half‑hour’s reach. Role Overview Schedule: 5 days a week Monday to Friday. Start with 10 patients per day and grow to 15 patients per day. Provide patient care in skilled nursing facilities by conducting rounds in short‑term units and complete documentation on a provided iPad laptop within 48 hours of each visit. Commute to facilities within a half‑hour of Roanoke. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments. Collaborate with facility staff to enhance patient care. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with mental health diagnoses. Prescribe and manage medications. Ensure timely and accurate documentation. Requirements Hold a valid full PMHNP license. Minimum 1 year of experience. Active VA license; DEA preferred but not required. Experience in healthcare or long‑term care is preferred.
