Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Client-Facing Senior Accountant | Full-Cycle Accounting | Flexible, Balanced Work Environment Our client, a growing mid-market accounting and advisory firm , is seeking a Senior Accountant to work directly with small to mid-sized businesses across industries including construction, manufacturing, and professional services . In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to your clients, managing their full-cycle accounting needs while helping them strengthen their financial operations. What You’ll Do: Manage multiple client engagements, overseeing the full accounting cycle : month-end close, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, and sales tax Serve as the day-to-day contact for clients, ensuring timely, accurate deliverables and proactive communication Review financial reports and supporting workpapers to ensure quality and compliance with firm and professional standards Identify and investigate accounting variances; provide practical insights and recommendations Travel to client sites as needed to strengthen relationships and provide on-site support Collaborate with partners to prepare proposals, fee estimates, and service plans Help develop team members by delegating work appropriately and offering training and mentorship Research complex accounting transactions and summarize findings in management reports Take part in other advisory or project-based assignments as needed Education And Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 3+ year of experience in private or public accounting, with full cycle accounting experience preferred CPA preferred Strong analytical ability and critical thinking skills Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Intacct, and other accounting ERP systems Superior verbal and written communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
