Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a general Medical Surgical setting with a 5:1 patient ratio on a 22-bed unit
• Administer and monitor IV drips including Heparin
• Float across multiple campuses as required to support staffing needs
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license
• Minimum 24 months of Medical Surgical experience reflected in current work history
• Previous travel nursing experience within the past 18 months
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Completed and current Medical Surgical skills checklist specific to the discipline

Preferred Experience / Skills

• De-escalation certification such as MAB, MOAB, CPI, or SAMA (may be obtained during onboarding)
• Trauma Level I facility experience
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
