Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as an Occupational Therapist supporting students from Pre-K through age 22 across multiple school sites within a vibrant educational community near Schaumburg, IL. This full-time opportunity runs from ASAP through early summer 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and developmental journeys. Your day-to-day schedule will vary with elementary, middle, and high school timetables as you serve in an itinerant role, collaborating with staff to provide quality therapy across the district.

Successful candidates will have:

• Active clinical licensure from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• A valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
• Strong organizational skills to manage varying caseloads across assigned sites
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, supporting a range of ages and needs
• Completion of required fingerprinting prior to start date

Core responsibilities include:

• Traveling between district school campuses to deliver therapy services where needed
• Conducting assessments and developing individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with teachers and staff
• Implementing evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to foster independence and school success
• Documenting services and progress notes per district guidelines
• Actively participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ success
• Maintaining timely and professional communication with school staff and families

This contract role offers a consistent full-time schedule of approximately 35–37.5 hours per week, with flexible hours based on school site assignments. You’ll play an essential part in helping students reach their potential in an inclusive educational environment.
