Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead Industrial Engineering activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will manage IE engineers and technicians while driving workforce planning, capacity analysis, labor optimization, manufacturing layouts, NPI readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Industrial Engineering, labor standards, time studies, workforce planning, capacity planning, manufacturing layouts, Lean Manufacturing, and team leadership .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Industrial Engineers and IE Technicians supporting daily manufacturing operations.
• Develop and maintain labor standards, staffing models, time studies, and work measurement systems .
• Perform workforce planning and labor calculations based on production demand and operational requirements.
• Conduct capacity analysis and resource planning to support production goals.
• Support production readiness assessments for new and existing manufacturing programs.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks .
• Perform line balancing, process flow analysis, and productivity improvement activities.
• Use manufacturing simulation tools such as FlexSim to evaluate production scenarios and support decision-making.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments and workstation evaluations to improve safety and efficiency.
• Support NPI and manufacturing launches through labor planning, capacity assessments, layout development, and readiness reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve labor efficiency, throughput, productivity, and waste reduction.
• Support CapEx justifications, labor savings calculations, and productivity business cases .
• Collaborate with Finance on labor forecasting, budgeting, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Facilities teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and process optimization initiatives.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Industrial Engineering team members.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management , or a related field.
• 5 8 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 5 years of experience leading engineers, technicians, or technical teams .
• Strong knowledge of labor standards, time studies, workforce planning, and work measurement .
• Experience with MOST, MODAPTS, MTM , or similar work measurement methodologies.
• Experience with capacity planning and resource planning .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for manufacturing and facility layouts.
• Experience with line balancing, process flow, and productivity improvement .
• Experience supporting NPI, manufacturing launches, and production readiness .
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional manufacturing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Raptor, STATIS, ARCH , or similar workforce/labor management systems.
• Experience with FlexSim or similar manufacturing simulation software .
• Experience conducting ergonomic assessments and workstation design evaluations .
• Experience with manufacturing layout optimization.
• Experience with labor efficiency and productivity improvement programs.
• Experience with CapEx analysis and labor savings calculations .
• Experience with labor forecasting and budgeting.
• Experience managing or mentoring Industrial Engineering Technicians .
• Lean Six Sigma experience.
• SAP/ERP exposure.
• Value Stream Mapping and continuous improvement experience.
