Unit Overview:

Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Adult/Geriatric

Common Diagnosis/Treatment: CABG, TAVR, STEMI, Carotids   

Weekend Hours: every other weekend or to meet the needs of the facility  

Call Requirements: no on call  

Float Requirements: per scheduled rotation  

Number of Beds: 8  

Patient Ratios: 2:1 with occasional 1:1  

Equipment: Impella, IABP, CRRT  

EHR: Cerner 

Requirements:

1.5-2YRS+ Exp Working in Specialty 

1YR+ Exp Working in CVICU 

1.5-2YRS+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting 

ACTIVE BLS (AHA)

ACTIVE ACLS (AHA)

CCRN (Preferred not Required)
