Ultrasound Technologist Job Details Department: Radiology Scheduled Hours: 0000-0830 Shift: Night Working Days: Varies (must be available weekends and holidays) Location: Los Angeles, 90033 Salary Range: $49-$53 Status: Ongoing Full Time Assignment Responsibilities Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients, ensuring their comfort and cooperation during examinations. Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, recognizing normal and abnormal anatomy and documenting findings for physician review. Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal studies. Use Doppler ultrasound to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities. Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on ultrasound equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment during ultrasound procedures. Ensure adherence to CA DPH regulations and hospital policies, maintaining licensures and training. Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field. Certification from a recognized accrediting body, such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Must have at least 3 years of Ultrasound experience Proof of Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) if applicable Current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers.
