We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Adorn Life Behavioral Health Center. Work Environment\n

This is a remote, full-time position, allowing you to work from home while contributing to our mission of trauma-informed care. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs to ensure that we provide timely and effective support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and treatment needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on promoting trauma recovery and building resilience in alignment with best practices.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to help patients process their trauma effectively.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment for patients to share their experiences, develop coping strategies, and embark on a healing journey.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients feel safe and supported.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery process.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to provide the highest standard of care possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population primarily consists of individuals who are navigating the complex aftermath of trauma. This includes patients suffering from PTSD, childhood trauma, and related disorders. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play an essential role in offering compassionate, evidence-based support that respects each patient's journey toward healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
\n
• A thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions to diverse populations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills rooted in compassion, with the ability to connect authentically with patients.

• Skill in maintaining calm and composed demeanor during high-stress situations typical in therapeutic settings.

• Competency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
\n
• A collaborative spirit, ready to work as a vital part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
