Job Description\n HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Local Contract\n \n \n Unit Specifics:\n \n Number of Beds : 28- mixed ICU\n Type of equipment : i-mobile phones for each care team member, Mobile computer workstation on wheels\n Documentation system: Meditech\n Scheduling requirements: 3 - 12 hour shifts per week to include every other weekend\n Floating policy: Travelers are the first to float. Any traveler could be sent to the emergency department or PCU to take care of PCU or ICU holds.\n Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report is our method of patient hand off\n \n Hospital Specifics-\n \n Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale\n \n Hiring profile\n Requested Skill Set: 36 months RN experience, with at least one of those years in an ICU. One previous successful travel nursing assignment preferably in a facility that used meditech.\n \n Must have: Ability to care for up to 1-3 ICU patients and have comfort in managing patients on the ventilator. Bedside shift report will occur on every patient with each transfer of care. Proficient in reading telemetry strips.\n \n \n Advanced skills needed:\n \n CRRT\n Advanced Hemodynamics\n Phlebotomy\n Nurses administer breathing treatments outside of the ICU (Respiratory treatments: inhalers and nebulizers)\n Procedures performed on unit: Post op day 0 CABG (fresh heart from OR), impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, and Advanced Hemodynamics. Neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, experience with EVDs, bolts, (Codman) and Artic Sun experience with induced hypothermia.\n \n BSN preferred, Advanced Certifications preferred, TNCC certification preferred\n \n \n Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH stroke scale \n \n
