As a Security Officer Patient De Escalation Full Time in Hopewell, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Healthcare Security Professional, helping create a welcoming and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond professionally to sensitive situations, including hospital morgue and patient restraint assignments. Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, visitor concerns, and/or facility-related events.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
