Head of US Market

Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity to build and scale one of Hilo's most important markets from the ground up.

As Head of US Market , you own the US commercial strategy and act as Hilo's internal champion for the US customer — ensuring the entire organization builds, prioritizes, and communicates with the US market in mind. You are the primary on-the-ground representative of Hilo in the US, steering strategy and coordinating closely with our centralized execution team to make sure everything we do is best-in-class and locally relevant.

Location: US-based, preferably East Coast, must be authorised to work in the United States, with regular travel to events, KOL meetings, and partner conversations. The role requires minimum half-day working hours to overlap with our European-based team (CET), and travel to team and business events quarterly (or as needed).

What you will own

• Shape our US commercial strategy with local market insight, and drive its execution on the ground
• Drive local B2C execution — across core US channels including paid media, PR, KOLs/influencers, affiliates, newsletters, social media, and Amazon
• Own the end-to-end US customer experience — partnering cross-functionally with Product, App, Website, Operations, and Customer Support to identify and remove friction, improving conversion, retention, and satisfaction, including how Hilo Core shows up for US customers
• Carry significant budget responsibility for the US market and be accountable for its commercial performance
• Be Hilo's brand ambassador in the US — representing the company internally and externally at industry events, press, and partner conversations
• Support B2B and partnership efforts as a local spearhead for clinics, hypertension specialists, and payer/employer partners, while core ownership sits with Hilo Professional

What we’re looking for

• Experience helping grow a business, with meaningful budget responsibility — entrepreneurial, ambitious, and a genuine self-starter (this role is remote-first)
• A track record from a top-tier company or team — you've sharpened your skills on strong products, with strong teams, and know what "great" looks like
• Demonstrated experience taking a product to market and scaling it through a high-growth stage — spanning awareness, distribution, pricing, CAC , and retention across both marketing and sales, with hands-on commercial judgment; you've built the playbook, not just followed one
• Strong execution mindset — you'll write the brief, edit the press release, sit in the agency review, and present the US numbers to leadership
• You lead with data, not narrative, surfacing bad news early and calling a slow week what it is
• Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, pitch confidently, and represent the business in high-impact settings

• Established relationships with key stakeholders across the US healthcare, medtech, or wellness ecosystem

Make Hilo the #1 voice in the US blood pressure conversation

Media, KOL, and event presence are sustained and growing, positioning Hilo as a trusted name in health, cardiology, hypertension, and consumer tech

Make US a sizable portion of global sales

Volume grows steadily against target CAC , with US-specific insight feeding the pricing, messaging, and channel decisions run centrally

Be a strong local presence for B2B momentum

As a local spearhead, you help conversations with clinics, specialists, and payer/employer partners progress, while Hilo Professional owns the pipeline.

Deliver a frictionless US customer experience

Key friction points across product, web, and support are identified and resolved, with tangible improvement in conversion and customer satisfaction

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this role is 170,000–190,000 USD , depending on experience and location, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and paid time off. In addition, we offer an attractive ESOP package , giving you the opportunity to participate in Hilo's long-term success and growth.
