Description

American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of OR experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Operating Room department
• 75 staffed beds
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 4x10s from 6:30am to 5:00pm
• On-call required one day per week, including one late shift weekly and one weekend every 5-6 weeks
• May be required to float between Downtown, Northeast, and Kershaw campuses based on census and staffing needs
• Uses Epic charting system
• Radiation badge required, provided by agency

Requirements

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Social Security number and driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available with pass distributed at pickup, with spaces in Downtown and Northeast lots
• During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Candidates within 60-mile radius considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval, dependent on unit needs
• First-time travelers not accepted for this position
