Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Compensation: Based on experience

Toebeans & Tails Veterinary Hospital is a small, independently owned veterinary clinic that opened its doors in May 2025. We’re passionate about delivering personalized, high-quality care to pets and building strong, lasting relationships with their people. We firmly believe in supporting and facilitating the human-animal bond. As a one-doctor practice, we rely on a supportive, versatile team to keep things running smoothly—and that’s where you come in!

We’re looking for a Cross-Trained Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant who is comfortable wearing multiple hats. Whether you’re greeting clients at the front desk or helping with patient care, you’ll make a meaningful impact in every part of the client and patient experience.

What You’ll Do:

Reception (Front Desk):

• Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally
• Answer phones, manage scheduling, and respond to client emails
• Check patients in and out, process invoices and payments
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about services and care

Assistant (Back of House):

• Assist the veterinarian with exams and treatments
• Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and basic equipment
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Help ensure patients are calm, comfortable, and cared for

What We’re Looking For:

• Veterinary experience preferred but not required (reception, assistant, or both)
• A genuine love of animals—and a deep respect for the people who love them
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small, flexible team
• Strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Comfort with learning new technology and protocols; basic computer skills are required
• Bonus if you’ve used Shepherd Veterinary Software
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
