Physician - Section Head, Pediatric Pulmonology

Section Head, Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine The successful candidate will join four faculty members and supporting psychologists and social workers to lead and grow the pediatric pulmonary medicine program, with the goal of increasing the number of children being cared for at Ochsner. The role includes administrative responsibilities such as physician recruiting, quality of care, financial performance, patient experience goals, and medical staff management. Responsibilities Lead and expand the pediatric pulmonary medicine program. Recruit and manage physicians and clinical staff. Drive program growth and maintain high quality patient care. Implement initiatives to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes. Oversee financial performance and resource allocation for the program. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists and social workers. Qualifications Experienced physician leader with a vision and passion for pediatric pulmonary medicine. Proven leadership, team‑building, and managerial experience. Demonstrated track record of driving successful program growth. Board certification in pediatrics or pulmonary medicine preferred. Desirable additional training or experience in sleep medicine, cystic fibrosis, interventional pulmonology, and/or ventilator‑tracheostomy services. Ochsner is an equal opportunity employer.
