Unit Details

• Unit Type: Labor & Delivery
• Facility Type: Level II Maternal Facility with Level II NICU
• Patient Population: Adults (including antepartum and laboring patients)
• Daily Census: 1–5 patients
• Number of Beds: 6
• Number of Rooms: 5

 

Patient Care & Responsibilities

• Manage patients in active labor
• Assist with induction and augmentation of labor
• Provide care for primary and repeat Cesarean section deliveries
• Perform antepartum monitoring
• Conduct and monitor Non-Stress Tests (NSTs)
• Care for patients 34 weeks gestation and above
• Deliver high-quality care to both mother and newborn

 

Required Skills & Equipment Experience

• Fetal Monitoring (Required)
• Experience with:
• • Labor and delivery care
  • Newborn care
  • C-section support
• Familiarity with equipment:
• • Panda Warmer
  • Tot Guard System

Staffing & Scheduling

• Scheduling Type: Self-scheduling
• Patient Ratio:
• • Days: 1:2
  • Nights: 1:2
  • Weekends: 1:2
• Weekend Requirement: 6 shifts in a 6-week contract
• Floating: Not required
• On-Call: Not required
