Job Summary

We are seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team! As an optometric technician, you will be responsible for conducting the initial assessment of a patient, measuring and recording preliminary tests as well as specialty testing.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working well with a team, has strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and is extremely organized and a quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and gather and record medical and prescription history and relevant information for their visit
• Perform special testing (Visual field, OCT, photos, and more)
• Assist in in-office procedures, as needed
• Educate patients on treatments and general eye health
• Maintain a professional atmosphere and appearance of office and pretest room
• Understand ocular terminology and diseases and know the ocular abbreviations
• Complete necessary paperwork and perform testing on patients prior to doctor examination
• Ensure high-quality patient care
