Director / Senior Director, R&D Operations & Technical Program Management - Subsense

Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and continuously improve the end‑to‑end operating system that governs R&D project execution, resource allocation, and delivery cadence. Partner with the Head of R&D, CEO, and other senior leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable program plans and measurable outcomes. Lead cross‑functional program teams, applying Agile and lean principles to reduce coordination drag, increase transparency, and accelerate time‑to‑market. Establish and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms that provide real‑time visibility into project health, risks, and financial performance. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑control for R&D initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate financial targets. Mentor and develop program managers and operations staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high‑impact delivery. Requirements 10+ years of experience in technical program management or R&D operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of scaling agile processes and operating systems in complex, multi‑disciplinary engineering environments. Strong analytical skills with expertise in metrics definition, reporting tools, and data‑driven decision making. Excellent communication and influencing abilities, capable of aligning diverse stakeholders around common goals.
