What you'll do The Wellness Director manages the operation of the Wellness Department, including maintaining standards in elder care services; supervision and oversight of the Wellness Department team, including training and assigning duties in accordance with elders\' needs; meeting financial and budgetary guidelines; and upholding state regulations and procedures. As the Wellness Services Director, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations: You will be responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and assigning significant duties/tasks in directing the work of all Wellness Department team members with accountability for subordinates\' performance. You will be responsible for creating staffing schedules that meet state guidelines, handle time off requests, overtime guidelines, or other scheduling modifications. You will communicate and enforce policies and procedures, including the Employer\'s policies, and directly discipline or recommend corrective action to enforce such policies. You will direct and coordinate elder service plans from move-in to move-out, completing timely and accurate assessments and evaluations as required by state regulations and Compass Senior Living policy. You will lead the Quality Assurance program, trend and track incidents, and correct as required by State Regulators and the team. You will perform licensed nurse tasks and medication passes within the scope of practice as allowed by state law. You will assist with coordinating care to elders with third-party providers such as therapy, home healthcare, and hospice. You will supervise the medication administration and/or assist with the self-administration of medication programs as required by state law. You may act in the absence of the Administrator if necessary. You will adhere to and establish financial goals and budgetary guidelines for the Wellness Department. You will stay current with state regulations and Nurse Practice Acts and ensure compliance with regulatory processes, assisting the community in continued compliance with Compass Senior Living policies, including those in the Quality Counts Policy and Procedure Manual.
