ARTE MUSEUM is an immersive media art exhibition space presented by d'strict, acclaimed for creating the public media art 'WAVE' at COEX in Korea. Exhibits at ARTE MUSEUM center around the theme 'ETERNAL NATURE,' reinterpreting various elements and spaces in nature as immersive media art. The artworks, brought to life through the fusion of various digital media technologies and visual creativity, capture nature's eternal attributes and realistic presentation, allowing visitors to experience nature unconstrained by time and space.

Tech Operations Team Leader, ARTE MUSEUM New York

Location: New York, NY (onsite, 5 days/week at the NY museum)

Job Title:

Technical Operations Team Leader

Job Summary

The responsibility of Technical Operations Team Leader is to operate media equipment for digital media content and all live events. System Team Staff configures, installs, and maintains media equipment such as projectors, microphones, video monitors, sound boards and facilities with the Team Leader.

The System Team Staff leverages basic knowledge of audio and video equipment, experience in lighting and photography, and good troubleshooting skills. Ultimately, System Team Staff keeps video content and facilities at its best to enhance the show's digital and live experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. System Management and Team Coordination

- Responsible for overall command, coordination, and management of the system team.

- Participates in problem-solving and decision-making, supporting team members' skill development and

workload distribution.

2. Managing overall Audio and Video equipment and facility maintenance

- oversee the maintenance and operation of the system and facility to ensure smooth and efficient functionality.

- includes monitoring and resolving any issues or malfunctions that may arise.

- Ensure that beam projectors, computers, media servers, network servers, CCTV and exhibition facilities are maintained in top condition

- Create and execute a maintenance plan.

- Work cooperatively with team members to accomplish tasks together

- In the event of a breakdown, try to repair or troubleshoot yourself as much as possible.

- Report to management on failures and actions taken

3. Provide hands-on operational support as needed.

Facility Maintenance & Safety Compliance

• Perform routine facility inspections and preventive maintenance, including basic plumbing systems, water leaks, and drainage issues.
• Monitor fire alarm systems and coordinate inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting with authorized service providers.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and applicable FDNY fire safety requirements.
• Operate scissor lifts and other elevated work platforms, when properly trained and authorized, to perform maintenance on equipment and installations at heights of up to 20 feet.
• Coordinate with licensed contractors and external vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance as needed.

Job Requirements

• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, including leak detection, drainage, and general troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with fire alarm systems and building fire safety procedures.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training certification preferred.
• FDNY S-95 Certificate of Fitness preferred, or willingness to obtain if required for assigned duties.
• Ability and willingness to operate scissor lifts at working heights of up to 20 feet, with appropriate training and authorization.
• Ability to perform maintenance work at elevated heights while following all applicable safety procedures.
• Proven experience in facility and electronic equipment and exhibition facilities maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of video content management systems and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and equipment.
• Proven experience in facility and electronic equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work at flexible workdays and hours due to the business hours of museum. Maintenance work will be often done after business hours and may include nighttime work.
• High level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment.

This is Salaried Exempt role, Pay range $90,000 to $95,000
