This is a true sales role centered on developing new business, delivering value-based solutions, and cultivating long-term client partnerships.The ideal candidate brings experience selling within a commercial contractor environment and understands how to navigate complex sales cycles. You will be responsible for originating opportunities, positioning value, and leading the commercial aspects of the sale, while partnering closely with our technical estimating and operations teams for project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesProactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the commercial construction and roofing sectorDevelop and execute strategic sales plans focused on long-term account growth and market expansionBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including building owners, property managers, developers, consultants, and general contractorsLead value-driven sales conversations, positioning Nations Roof as a trusted partner rather than a commodity providerCollaborate with internal estimating and operations teams to develop accurate scopes, pricing, and project strategiesNegotiate contracts and terms in alignment with company objectives, working in partnership with operations leadership as neededMaintain consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction and drive repeat businessRepresent Nations Roof in the marketplace through networking events, industry associations, and trade organizationsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)2–5+ years of sales experience within a commercial contractor environment (e.g., roofing, HVAC, electrical, paving, or similar)Demonstrated success in prospecting, developing, and closing new business, as well as growing existing accountsStrong understanding of the commercial construction sales cycle and project lifecycleProven ability to sell value and build long-term, trust-based client relationshipsExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsExperience working cross-functionally with estimating and operations teamsProficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to travel locally within the Chicago areaBenefitsCompetitive base salary plus uncapped commission structureCar allowanceComprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurancePaid time off and holidays; 401(k) with company matchCareer growth opportunities within a national organizationNations Roof is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
