Real Estate Finance Attorney

Our client, a busy law firm in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Real Estate Finance Attorney to join their growing practice. This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned practitioner to step into a role with a defined path to partnership.

* This can be a mostly remote role with periodic travel to Portland required
* Draft and negotiate loan documents, purchase and sale agreements, leases, and other related documents
* Conduct due diligence and provide legal advice on real estate financing transactions
* Research and analyze legal issues related to real estate financing
* Communicate and work directly with the existing book of clients as well as lenders, and other parties involved in transactions
* Participate in business development activities and assist with marketing initiatives

The ideal candidate:

* JD from an ABA-accredited law school is preferred
* Admitted to the bar in good standing in Oregon, Washington and/or Idaho.
* 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate financing transactions, with a specific need for heavy loan documentation experience
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
* Quick partner track and ability for dedicated team members to directly inherit clients
